Living in Las Vegas we don't often get an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, especially up close, so there's no wonder that Live Bird Feed Cameras are quite popular. In fact, they are popular not only here, but all over the world. Right now, one of the most popular ones is pointed at a little bald eagle family headed by Mr. President and the First Lady.

A live camera feed had been placed in their Washington D.C. Arboretum nest some years ago when they decided to nest and grow their family near the nation's capital. This year's eaglets are lovingly named Honor and Glory, and you can watch them grow live, or choose from a selection of clips available through their website DC Eagle Cam where they host all the information about these majestic animals.

Local Owls Draw Attention

Recently some local owls were drawing attention because of a similar style nest camera. The Nevada Department of Wildlife has a YouTube channel available to view all of the updates as this great horned owl grows, gains strength, and with any luck, successfully flourishes well past leaving the nest.

On April 24th our own local avian celebrity decided to leave his nest. Watch his progress provided by the NDOW.
